The multifunctional HMI sensor PR-SEN-MULTI forms the basis of a location recognition system for mine personnel, especially directly in mining operations. The system detects the presence of persons or machines equipped with a transponder inside a shield support.
In times of digitalization, the degree of automation of machines is constantly increasing. Via the high-precision location recognition system of EEP, humans are integrated into this automation process. The detection takes place in real time and thus enables a multitude of functions and possibilities, so that safety can be increased and productivity can be enhanced.
The system can be operated both as a supplement to an electro-hydraulic control from EEP and as a stand-alone system.
Furthermore, the PR-SEN-MULTI can indicate the presence of persons or defined (blocked) zones optically (multi-coloured LED light) and / or acoustically, and can warn visually and / or acoustically in case of violations (persons enter blocked shield support).
An alarm can also be sent to higher-level systems (control center) if a person does not move for a defined period of time because he or she might be injured.
The system can also be operated outside the longwall face and is the right choice whenever accuracy and local precision are required.
In addition to people, machines such as the shearer loader or any other moving vehicle can also be located.
The location recognition system measures the "Time of Flight" of the radio signal and thus calculates the precise position of the transmitter (person / machine) within the longwall. Each control unit (SCU) calculates its own location information and communicates with the corresponding SCU when a person is inside the respective longwall.
