In the early years, the core business is in the field of standard industrial electronics. The repair and maintenance of electro-hydraulic controls are also part of the company's services. EEP soon developed a fully automatic electro-hydraulic longwall control system within the company, which is successfully used in the Ibbenbüren coal mine.
In the following years, EEP gradually expanded its range of products and became a renowned all-round supplier in the field of mining technology. Soon data transmission systems (field bus systems) from underground to surface are part of the product range. In 2005, the product range is expanded to include all mining hydraulics and the first intrinsically safe PLC developed in the company for all control technology requirements underground is installed at the customer's site.

Parallel to this, EEP is becoming increasingly international. Contacts to the Russian and Chinese mining industry were already established at the end of the nineties, which led to the first major order from China in 2002.
Today, EEP's product range includes fully automatic electro-hydraulic longwall controls with the entire hydraulic portfolio required for this purpose, high-performance data transmission systems, state-of-the-art safety technology and complex control technology for machines of all kinds. Numerous couplers enable the problem-free integration of third-party components into a higher-level system and the archiving and visualization of data.
More than 70 fully automatic EEP longwall controls are currently in use in China, Germany, Poland, Russia and Ukraine. EEP data transfer systems are successfully running in numerous international mines. Due to its modular design, the intrinsically safe EEP-PLC system enables a simple and fast implementation of all customer-specific requirements and is used, among other things, in planer and roller controls, strip controls, manipulators, pump and filter stations, in control systems for energy supply and in underground safety engineering.
